Taking Care of Your Teak:

• Hose off surface to remove any loose debris.
• While the item is very wet, clean with warm, soapy water (ie. Dawn Dish Soap) using a medium bristle brush or a 3M Scotch Bright Pad going with the grain of the wood. A good cleaning will bring back the teak to look (about 90%) like the day it was purchased. Then, the very simplistic, greying down process will begin again.

Steps to Maintain Honey Oak Teak Color:

• After cleansing, allow piece to completely dry. It's important to pay close attention to wood seams and joints as these will be the last to dry.
  Once the item is completely dry, apply water-based teak sealer following the manufactures directions.
• Repeat at least once a season to maintain color.

Good to Know:

• Anticipate minor occurrences like hairline cracking, peeling, and joint expansion in all teak furniture, with aging timelines influenced by weather conditions, climate, and exposure.
• Do NOT use a pressure washer. This will remove the pulp from the wood grain and your wood furniture will become rough.
• Recommended cleaner/sealer: Golden Care brand
• Never use a teak "oil" as this can attract dirt, which promotes mold and mildew.
