I really like this set - although the table doesn’t appear to be “stained” it’s more like painted to look like a stain. The coloring chips easily on the edges and the chairs, but I use a furniture marker for touch ups. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this table for a family with children, mine shows wear and there are only 2 responsible adults who use it regularly. It also has a sticky feel to the top when I wipe it off. It looks great in my kitchen though and the chairs are pretty sturdy. :)
