laurie W – I plan to call the customer service number tomorrow. The chair fabric has already started to show wear, and has small pelting that is visible after less then several weeks. I am so surprised of the poor quality of the fabric. I would not have guessed this!

diane C – Chair was delivered damaged, we were told we have to wait 2 weeks for an upholstery technician to look at it. We should not have to wait that long...poor service. If the chair cannot be repaired we would have to wait another 8 weeks for a new chair. Not happy with your service.

carol L – Happy with chair and the service. I have no complaints from be gaining to end thank you
darwin & lois H – After waiting for 11 weeks, the chair sent was the WRONG COLOR. The chair should have been checked before it was shipped from the factory and again at the warehouse where it was held for almost 2 weeks! Extremely disappointing.

joan / gary F – We purchased 2 special order chairs from Flex Steel. Very disappointed in the workmanship. Both chairs have some minor flaws: fabric pattern slightly off, uneven padding, small puckers along bottom edge and sloppy finishing on the underside of chair. These were not inexpensive chairs. Will not purchase from Flex Steel again.
ms diane S – Both the sofa and chairs have manufacturer's defects. The material chosen (for which I paid more than the base price) has a clear vertical/horizontal alignment. There are multiple locations where installation is visibly crooked - in particular, on chair arms and on the fronts of the arms for both of the chairs and the sofa. The chair seat cushions also extend beyond the lower portion of the chair's front frame by as much as 1-1/2" (and why don't they match the zero overhang for the couch's?) and the two chair cushions don't match in thickness - one is too thick compared to the other.
This purchase is a Flexsteel that replaces a Flexsteel sofa and two chairs I was happy with for over 25 years. I am genuinely shocked by the lack of quality control - if the company's workers can't properly install a particular fabric, they should delete it from the selection they offer, and if their inspections people can't flag something like this before letting it ship out, someone should be demoted to other work or let go. I worked in a fabric store for three years when I was younger and have done considerable sewing, slipcovering and some upholstering in my life, so I'm not unknowledgeable. I will be writing to the company about the experience - I never expected it with what I assumed was a Flexsteel continuing reputation.
A customer service rep from Schneiderman's will be coming to look at the furniture next Saturday. I in no way am angry at my salesperson, Molly, or Schneiderman's - this is the manufacturer's doing, and we're all caught in the crossfire and have to waste time and money rectifying it. I hope the problems can be resolved - I'm not looking for monetery compensation - these are very likely the last living room pieces I'll purchase in my life plus I'll be looking at them for the next however-many years, so they have to be acceptable.
